Tomando como punto de partida la importancia de la educación para la transformación de los individuos, la importancia de la educación permanente en la Sociedad del Conocimiento y, considerando que una mayor formación docente permitirá construir y replicar nuevos modelos para la construcción de la paz en Colombia; se describe a continuación la forma como se aborda, construye e implementa la Cultura de Paz en la Universidad Autónoma del Caribe, UAC. Se presenta, además, un modelo educomunicativo, integral, para fomentar la cultura de paz, como forma de contribuir desde la responsabilidad social universitaria al desarrollo sostenible en la región Caribe.
Abstract:
Taking as starting points, the importance of education for the transformation of individuals and the importance of lifelong learning in the Knowledge Society this paper considers that more teacher training will build and replicate in new models that favor the construction of peace in Colombia. The paper describes the way as Culture of Peace has been addressed, built and will be implemented at the Autonomous University of the Caribbean, UAC. It also has a comprehensive Media Literacy model to promoting the Culture of Peace, as a University’s contribution to the Social Responsibility, to sustainable development in the Caribbean region.
