Diseño De Un Modelo De Gestión De Sostenibilidad Ambiental Para El Hotel Loma Nevada De Minca: Un Enfoque Hacia La Conservación Y Competitividad En Áreas De Reserva Natural Bolaño Muñoz, Yurleidys Milena; Sosa Mouawad, David Andres The hotel sector located in nature reserve areas faces the challenge of balancing tourism competitiveness with environmental conservation. However, existing environmental management models are typically designed for large hotel chains, making them difficult to implement in small-scale rural establishments. Given this situation, the question arises: How can an environmental sustainability management model be structured to promote the conservation of the natural environment and strengthen tourism competitiveness in rural hotels located in nature reserve areas? To answer this, a mixed-methods, applied-design study was conducted within the pragmatic paradigm. The case study focused on the Hotel Loma Nevada, located in Minca, Colombia. Structured interviews, document analysis, and direct observation were applied to four stakeholder groups (management, VI employees, customers, and the community) to assess environmental and social performance. The results revealed significant gaps compared to international standards such as ISO 14001, LEED, and EarthCheck, particularly in water management, waste management, and operational control. Based on these findings, an Environmental Sustainability Management Model (MGSA) was designed, aligned with the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) cycle and adapted to the operational and financial capacities of the rural context. It is concluded that the implementation of an adaptive model, focused on impact prevention and continuous improvement, represents an effective strategy for integrating sustainability into hotel operations, mitigating environmental risks, and enhancing competitiveness in eco-friendly destinations.

Opportunities are identified in the adoption of advanced technologies, but greater investment and a change in perception towards technology are required. It is concluded that to improve logistics competitiveness, it is recommended to strengthen collaboration between actors, improve infrastructure, adopt technologies, and have solid government support. En Colombia, existen limitaciones que obstaculizan el desarrollo eficiente de las operaciones logísticas en las ciudades, como son las deficiencias en la aplicación tecnológica en el componente logístico, escasa inversión en capacitación e insuficiente infraestructura de transporte intermodal, entre otros aspectos. El propósito de la investigación, es el evaluar la competitividad logística de la ciudad Barranquilla y su área metropolitana, considerando los aspectos de infraestructura, servicios y capacidades especializadas a nivel regional, nacional e internacional. La investigación adopta un enfoque descriptivo cualitativo, empleando técnicas de recolección de información de fuentes secundarias como libros, guías, artículos y tesis, así como revisión bibliográfica sobre el modelo del diamante de competitividad de Porter y factores de desempeño logístico. En cuanto las fuentes primarias, se realizó unas entrevistas dirigidas a expertos del sector logístico local. Los resultados resaltan la consolidación de la región como centro logístico importante, respaldada por su ubicación estratégica y acceso al océano Atlántico, aunque persisten desafíos como infraestructura vial deficiente, congestión portuaria y barreras burocráticas. Se identifican oportunidades en la adopción de tecnologías avanzadas, pero se requiere una mayor inversión y cambio de percepción hacia la tecnología. Se concluye, que, para mejorar la competitividad logística, se recomienda fortalecer la colaboración entre actores, mejorar infraestructura, adoptar tecnologías y contar con apoyo gubernamental sólido

These advancements have optimized supply chain management and logistics operations, enabling companies to work more efficiently and swiftly. However, digitalization also presents significant challenges, such as cybersecurity and the digital divide, which hinder the secure adoption of these technologies. A bibliometric review was conducted using the Scopus, Web of Science, and ScienceDirect databases to identify trends, innovations, opportunities, and challenges in digital foreign trade. Articles published between 2019 and 2024 were included, and 20 relevant studies were selected. These data were analyzed and organized into thematic tables. The results indicate that future research requires a deeper analysis of emerging technological trends, the evaluation of the impact of digitalization on specific sectors, and the resolution of challenges related to cybersecurity and the digital divide. Such efforts could be crucial in informing and guiding policies and practices in the field of digital trade in the future. Actualmente, la Revolución Digital ha transformado profundamente la manera en que las empresas operan a nivel global. Estos avances han optimizado la gestión de la cadena de suministro y las operaciones logísticas, permitiendo a las empresas trabajar con mayor eficiencia y rapidez. Sin embargo, la digitalización también presenta desafíos significativos, como la seguridad cibernética y la brecha digital, que dificultan la adopción segura de estas tecnologías. Se realizó una revisión bibliométrica utilizando las bases de datos Scopus, Web of Science y ScienceDirect para identificar tendencias, innovaciones, oportunidades y desafíos en el comercio exterior digital. Se incluyeron artículos publicados entre 2019 y 2024, de los cuales se seleccionaron 20 estudios relevantes, estos datos fueron analizados y organizados en tablas temáticas. Los resultados reflejan que las investigaciones futuras requieren de un análisis más profundo de las tendencias tecnológicas emergentes, la evaluación del impacto de la digitalización en sectores específicos y la resolución de desafíos relacionados con la seguridad cibernética y la brecha digital. Simulación De Las Propiedades Mecánicas Y Térmicas De Un Material Compuesto De Matriz Polimérica Reforzado Con Fibras Naturales Berdejo Nieves, Rafael Arturo This work focused on the development of simulations of the physical, mechanical and thermal properties for a set of composite materials, PET matrix and natural coconut fibers, specifically the incorporation of 30, 40 and 50 percent of fibers by volume of material, respectively, the general parameters of the simulated materials were configured and established. It is highlighted that the simulation was carried out using finite elements with meshes formed from hexahedral elements, it was found that the addition of natural coconut fibers generates an important benefit in the mechanical properties of the simulated composite material, as the fiber volume increases, while thermal properties such as conductivity and thermal diffusivity. The results allowed to simulate and obtain materials with three types of characteristics that can be proposed for a wide range of applications. Este trabajo se centró en la elaboración de simulaciones de las propiedades físicas, mecánicas y térmicas para un conjunto de materiales compuestos, de matriz de PET y fibras naturales de coco, en concreto la incorporación del 30, 40 y 50 por ciento de fibras en volumen de material, respectivamente, se configuró y establecieron los parámetros generales de los materiales simulados. Se resalta que la simulación fue realizada empelando elementos finitos con mallas formadas a partir de elementos hexaédricos se encontró que la adición de fibras naturales de coco, genera un beneficio importante las propiedades mecánicas del material compuesto simulado, conforme aumenta el volumen de fibras, mientras que las propiedades térmicas como es el caso de la conductividad y la difusividad térmica. Los resultados permitieron simular y obtener materiales con tres tipos de características que pueden ser propuestos para un rango amplio de aplicaciones.
