This project presents the virtual design of a centering system for borescope &#13;
cameras used in the internal inspection of welded joints in pipelines. A company &#13;
in the non-destructive testing (NDT) sector has identified recurring misalignment &#13;
issues of the camera head, which negatively affect the visibility of the weld bead &#13;
and reduce the quality of inspections. To address this problem, a detailed &#13;
analysis of technical and operational requirements was conducted, including &#13;
interviews with specialized personnel, field observations, photographic &#13;
documentation, and dimensional evaluation of pipelines.&#13;
The conceptual design was developed through parametric CAD modeling using &#13;
SolidWorks®, where a rigid central base and a modular set of flexible rings &#13;
adaptable to 4”, 6”, and 8” diameter pipes were proposed. The selected materials &#13;
for additive manufacturing were PETG for the base and TPU for the rings, &#13;
chosen due to their suitable combination of strength, flexibility, and mechanical &#13;
stability. The prototype’s performance was validated through motion simulations, &#13;
finite element analysis (FEA), and stress evaluation using Mohr’s Circle, &#13;
demonstrating structural stability, controlled deformation, and reliable centering &#13;
with appropriate radial clearance.&#13;
The results show that the system maintains camera alignment with a deviation &#13;
of less than ±0.5 mm, improves cable stability against buckling, and ensures &#13;
smooth movement within the pipe. Therefore, the proposed design represents a &#13;
viable, modular, and cost-effective solution that significantly enhances the &#13;
accuracy, efficiency, and quality of industrial borescope inspections.

This document analyzes and improves the efficiency of a Pelton turbine located at the test bench in the laboratory of the Universidad Autónoma del Caribe. The study focuses on the variables associated with the injector, mainly the nozzle diameter and the inlet and outlet angles of the jet impacting the buckets, with the aim of ensuring that the turbine reaches the angular velocity (RPM) required to properly operate the Prony brake. This device is used to apply a controlled mechanical load and measure the power developed by the turbine.&#13;
Based on the above, the power and efficiency of the system are evaluated under different injector openings. Experimental tests were carried out using 6 mm and 12 mm nozzles, both with and without the brake. The results indicate that the performance of the Pelton turbine depends directly on the nozzle diameter, pressure, and flow rate. Variations in the injector diameter significantly modify the flow behavior, affecting the jet velocity, the available hydraulic power, and consequently, the mechanical efficiency of the system.&#13;
It was determined that increasing the nozzle diameter leads to an increase in flow rate and hydraulic power; however, the latter tends to stabilize beyond a certain opening, generating losses of useful energy that should be transmitted to the rotor. Specifically, with the 6 mm nozzle, flow restriction losses occur during the tests with the brake, negatively affecting efficiency; unlike the test without the brake, in which the efficiency remains stable.&#13;
In general, smaller-diameter injectors show better results in terms of flow rate, pressure, and jet velocity, achieving higher hydraulic and mechanical efficiency values. This behavior is reinforced by the specific speed, which is directly related to efficiency and reflects a better use of the energy transmitted from the jet to the runner.

hallenges persist such as deficient road infrastructure, port congestion, and &#13;
bureaucratic barriers. Opportunities are identified in the adoption of advanced &#13;
technologies, but greater investment and a change in perception towards &#13;
technology are required. It is concluded that to improve logistics &#13;
competitiveness, it is recommended to strengthen collaboration between actors, &#13;
improve infrastructure, adopt technologies, and have solid government support.
En Colombia, existen limitaciones que obstaculizan el desarrollo eficiente de las &#13;
operaciones logísticas en las ciudades, como son las deficiencias en la &#13;
aplicación tecnológica en el componente logístico, escasa inversión en &#13;
capacitación e insuficiente infraestructura de transporte intermodal, entre otros &#13;
aspectos. El propósito de la investigación, es el evaluar la competitividad &#13;
logística de la ciudad Barranquilla y su área metropolitana, considerando los &#13;
aspectos de infraestructura, servicios y capacidades especializadas a nivel&#13;
regional, nacional e internacional. La investigación adopta un enfoque &#13;
descriptivo cualitativo, empleando técnicas de recolección de información de &#13;
fuentes secundarias como libros, guías, artículos y tesis, así como revisión &#13;
bibliográfica sobre el modelo del diamante de competitividad de Porter y factores &#13;
de desempeño logístico. En cuanto las fuentes primarias, se realizó unas&#13;
entrevistas dirigidas a expertos del sector logístico local. Los resultados resaltan&#13;
la consolidación de la región como centro logístico importante, respaldada por &#13;
su ubicación estratégica y acceso al océano Atlántico, aunque persisten &#13;
desafíos como infraestructura vial deficiente, congestión portuaria y barreras &#13;
burocráticas. Se identifican oportunidades en la adopción de tecnologías &#13;
avanzadas, pero se requiere una mayor inversión y cambio de percepción hacia &#13;
la tecnología. Se concluye, que, para mejorar la competitividad logística, se &#13;
recomienda fortalecer la colaboración entre actores, mejorar infraestructura, &#13;
adoptar tecnologías y contar con apoyo gubernamental sólido

Currently, the Digital Revolution has &#13;
profoundly transformed the way &#13;
businesses operate on a global &#13;
scale. These advancements have &#13;
optimized supply chain management &#13;
and logistics operations, enabling &#13;
companies to work more efficiently &#13;
and swiftly. However, digitalization &#13;
also presents significant challenges, &#13;
such as cybersecurity and the digital &#13;
divide, which hinder the secure &#13;
adoption of these technologies.&#13;
A bibliometric review was conducted &#13;
using the Scopus, Web of Science, &#13;
and ScienceDirect databases to &#13;
identify trends, innovations, &#13;
opportunities, and challenges in &#13;
digital foreign trade. Articles &#13;
published between 2019 and 2024 &#13;
were included, and 20 relevant &#13;
studies were selected. These data &#13;
were analyzed and organized into &#13;
thematic tables.&#13;
The results indicate that future &#13;
research requires a deeper analysis &#13;
of emerging technological trends, &#13;
the evaluation of the impact of &#13;
digitalization on specific sectors, &#13;
and the resolution of challenges &#13;
related to cybersecurity and the &#13;
digital divide. Such efforts could be &#13;
crucial in informing and guiding &#13;
policies and practices in the field of &#13;
digital trade in the future.
Actualmente, la Revolución Digital ha &#13;
transformado profundamente la manera &#13;
en que las empresas operan a nivel global. &#13;
Estos avances han optimizado la gestión &#13;
de la cadena de suministro y las &#13;
operaciones logísticas, permitiendo a las &#13;
empresas trabajar con mayor eficiencia y &#13;
rapidez. Sin embargo, la digitalización &#13;
también presenta desafíos significativos, &#13;
como la seguridad cibernética y la brecha &#13;
digital, que dificultan la adopción segura &#13;
de estas tecnologías.&#13;
Se realizó una revisión bibliométrica &#13;
utilizando las bases de datos Scopus, Web &#13;
of Science y ScienceDirect para identificar &#13;
tendencias, innovaciones, oportunidades &#13;
y desafíos en el comercio exterior digital. &#13;
Se incluyeron artículos publicados entre &#13;
2019 y 2024, de los cuales se &#13;
seleccionaron 20 estudios relevantes, &#13;
estos datos fueron analizados y &#13;
organizados en tablas temáticas.&#13;
Los resultados reflejan que las &#13;
investigaciones futuras requieren de un &#13;
análisis más profundo de las tendencias &#13;
tecnológicas emergentes, la evaluación del &#13;
impacto de la digitalización en sectores &#13;
específicos y la resolución de desafíos &#13;
relacionados con la seguridad cibernética y la &#13;
brecha digital. Tales esfuerzos podrían ser &#13;
cruciales para informar y guiar las políticas y &#13;
prácticas en el ámbito del comercio digital en &#13;
el futuro.
