El arte en la escuela: poiesis, cotidianidad y cuidado

Abstract

Este artículo presenta una reflexión sobre el impacto formativo del arte en la escuela caracterizando las distintas acepciones de educación artística a saber: por, para y en el arte. Elabora una propuesta que entiende la educación en el arte como una posibilidad para desarrollar la sensibilidad frente al mundo, complementando el conocimiento racional de la realidad mediante el desarrollo de afectos (formas de sentir) y perceptos (nuevas formas de ver y oír – percibir). Retoma la categoría de poiesis como acto creativo así como las miradas de autores como Imanol Aguirre, Elliot Eisner y John Dewey, y de comunidades tradicionales indígenas que encuentran en la vivencia estética del cotidiano una manera para restablecer el vínculo con el otro y para resacralizar la vida.

Abstract: This article presents a reflection about the impact of art on education at school, through a characterization of three different ways of understanding arts education: by, for and in art. It suggests that education in art can help develop sensibility towards reality, as a complement to rational knowledge of the world, through the development of affects (ways of feeling), and percepts (new ways of hearing and seeing – perceiving). It develops the category of poiesis as a creative act, and recovers views of authors such as Imanol Aguirre, Elliot Eisner and John Dewey, as well of indigenous communities which find in aesthetic experience of everyday life a path for the reestablishment of the link with others and for the re sacralization of life.
